1. LOCATION

Being on the Quang Ngai Town - Dung Quat northern development route, Tinh Phong Industrial Zone belongs to Son Tinh District, Quang Ngai Province :

• 20km south of Dung Quat Industrial Zone and Chu Lai Airport
• bordering National Highway 1A and the trans Vietnam railway in the west.
• On the east of a branch of the 300 kilometer long Thach Nham irrigation system, a stable source of water for the industrial zone.
• Area: 141 hectares (first phase: 40 hectares).

2. INFRASTRUCTURE

a) Transport:

Internal transport: roads for the first phase are already asphalted, with shade trees and electric lights. The main roads are 36 meters wide. The ground work for secondary roads with a width of 24.5-29 meters is nearly completed.

External transport:

• By road: along National Highway 1A.
• By rail: 30km from the Quang Ngai railway station.
• By sea: Sa Ky Port is a commercial port which can serve 4,500DWT ships.

b) Communication:

Quang Ngai Industrial Zones Management Board helps investors with procedures for signing post service contracts with the provincial post office.

c) Utilities:

Power supply: There's a 110kV transformer station in the industrial zone.

Water supply: Water comes from an underground source.

3. FEES (VAT included)

Infrastructure fee: US$0.25/ m2/year (based on maintenance and management fees for infrastructure facilities built with the provincial budget).

Power price: VND 800/kWh.

4. INVESTMENT INCENTIVES

Fee exemption: Investors are exempted from all the fees con­cerning the settlement of invest­ment procedures.

Tax refund: Investors are refunded 50% of the corporate income tax paid in the first three years since having taxable income.

Financial support for job training: investors who either send employees residing in Quang Ngai Province to take training at Dung Quat Vocational School or other job training centers in the province or train their employees for Grade 2 or at least the intermediate level, are given VND 300,000 for each trainee.

5. BUSINESS RESULTS

Tinh Phong Industrial Zone has so far received 19 local invested projects involved mainly in construction materials (cement, tile, roofing sheet, construction glass), fertilizers, and household plastics.

The industrial zone developer has leased out 24.59 hectares of land.
