THANG LONG INDUSTRIAL PARK
Situated in Bac Thang Long-Van Tri, a new planned town in Hanoi , which will be built with official development aid (ODA) from the Japanese Government, Thang Long Industrial Park will enjoy utilities from this wellbuilt town. The owner and operator of Thang Long Industrial Park is Thang Long Industrial Park Corporation, a joint venture between Dong Anh Mechanics Company ( Vietnam ) and Sumitomo Corporation ( Japan ).

1. LOCATION
a) Thang Long Industrial Park is located in the central area of the new town, along the highway connecting central Hanoi with Non Bai International Airport .
With this location, it has ideal advantages in transport:
- 14km from Noi Bai International Airport , A 13 minutes' car drive
- 16km from central Hanoi , A 24 minutes' drive
- 122km from Haiphong Port , A 105 minutes' drive
- 120km from Cai Lan Port, A 140 minutes drive (travel time will go down to 90 minutes after National Highway 18 has been completely widened with Japanese ODA).
b) With a planned area of 300 hectares, Thang Long Industrial Park will be developed in three phases:
121 hectares for the first phase (already completed), 80 hectares for the second phase, and 99 hectares for the third phase. The industrial park is 8.3 - 10.5m above sea level and 2-3m higher than the surroundings, so it is free from floods. 2. INFRASTRUCTURE
a) Internal transport
All roads are asphalted. The main road has six lanes and is 37 - 42m wide. On both sides of this road is a system of lights installed symmetrically at distances of 40m. The auxiliary roads have two lanes and are 2627m wide. Along them is a system of lights arranged in the form of a zigzag at distances of 45m.
b) Communication A system of underground cables with 400 lines is ready for the first phase.
Hanoi Post and Telecom Company will ensure smooth communication with highspeed transmission of data. c) Utilities
Power supply:Thang Long Industrial Park has a transformer station with two 40MVA machines receiving electricity from the national power grid via two 101kV transmission lines from Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant and Pha Lai Thermopower Plant. The station ensures time stable supply of power by underground cables to each plot of leased land.
Water Supply: Thang Long Industrial Park has a water plant with a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters per day.
Waste water treatment: A system of underground pipelines receives waste water from plants in the industrial park and carries it to the waste water treat ment plant with a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters per day. Here waste water is treated according to the environmental protection standards of Vietnam before being released into the ditches along the southern border of the industrial park.
Drainage system: A system of ditches and related construction keep Thang Long Industrial Park free from flooding, even in big storms and in the rainy season.
ISO 14001 certificate: Thang Long Industrial Park is the first industrial park in Vietnam to meet the ISO 14001 standards for environmental protection, so tenants wilI benefit from this.
3. LAND RENT
Land rent is negotiable.
4. SUPPORT SERVICES
Banking, customs, and post services are available on location. Cargo Distribution Center provides investors with logistics services of different kinds.
5. INVESTMENT ATTRACTION
Presently, 13 foreign-invested projects capitalized at nearly USD 200 million are in operation in Thang Long Industrial Park . These include one project of Singapore to produce electrical cables, one of Malaysia to make precision mechanical equipment, and the others of Japan to manufacture printing machines, sanitary ceramics, auto parts and cameras.
