Soc Trang
Soc Trang is located 60km south of Can Tho. The area has a large Khmer population
and you will find several interesting temples in the vicinity. Some of the places to visit are Kh'leng Pagoda, Clay Pagoda,
Im Som Rong Pagaoda and the Khmer Museum. Try to visit in time for the long boat racing festival which is held in December
(the date varies so ask at a Vietnam tourist office or travel agent). You will need to book a hotel in advance if you intend
to visit at festival time.
